Embedded Software Test Engineer

Our technology uses electricity to kill weeds and will help solve two global issues. The first is to remove chemical herbicides from our food and the environment to improve the health of society and the ecosystem. The second is to create healthy soils that capture and store carbon to reduce the impact of global warming. Our technology is a sustainable and regenerative alternative to chemical herbicides.

We will expect you to

  • Work as part of the Software team to deliver high-quality products.
  • Team player, able to communicate effectively in all situations.
  • Take ownership of the software testing process.
  • To understand the technical requirements of software modules.
  • Create test plans, write test cases, execute tests, capture test results, and produce test reports.
  • Have great attention to details.
  • Think from customer/user perspective.
  • Write test scripts and create testing infrastructure as necessary.
  • Experience in Black box testing and white box testing.
  • Knowledge of Performance and Reliability testing.
  • Create clear and precise bug reports.
  • Forecast testing requirements such a hardware and tools in advance.

Who you are:

You will have 4 years’ experience in Embedded Software Testing.

You should have:

  1. Experience in embedded software testing for real time systems using Software test life cycle.
  2. Extensive experience in Blackbox testing.
  3. Experience in using CAN.
  4. User interface, HMI testing.
  5. Version Control Management such as Bitbucket, Git, Integrity etc.
  6. Requirement Management tools such as DOORs, Visure etc.
  7. Bug tracking tools – Jira, Bugzilla etc.
  8. Persistent nature, inquisitive attitude and results driven.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Power Electronics product testing.
  2. Experience in white box testing.
  3. Knowledge of C programming and scripting such as Python.
  4. Communication protocols such as SPI, I2C etc.
  5. Knowledge of automated testing is advantageous.
  6. Experience in IOT.
